Netherland News and Notes

If you are graduating from high school, college, or a vocational school this spring please let us borrow one of your photos. Please give your photo along with the following information to Rick Ramsey today, May 4th. We need your name, parents’ name, school, the date of graduation, the location of graduation & your plans.

Next Sunday night, May 11, our worship service will be held at the picnic pavilion. We will have our congregational singing and then have our note burning.

On Saturday May 17th there will be a work day. All the men are asked to please come and help. Work will be done here to the building and on our new property.

Our brothers, Jeff Hammock, Chris Hammock, Chris Huddleston, Steve Poston, and Caleb Wilson have all asked for our prayers. Please keep these wonderful gentlemen and their families in your prayers.

The Rickman Elementary PE, Library and School Spirit award went to our Kaleigh Hammock & Lucas Gunnels. Kaleigh and Lucas also completed their part of Rickman School’s anti-bulling unit. Our Missy Trent headed up this unit. Congrats!

Darren Oliver will have some of his art work displayed at the Millard Oakley Public Library May 7th 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Corey and Caleb Tillman. Corey and Caleb were recently baptized at Collegeside Church of Christ. Steve, Carol, Corey and Caleb now worship with the Collegeside congregation in Cookeville.

A few months ago Russell & Amanda Hastings informed the elders they would have to give up working with the youth here at Netherland. The elders have been in prayer and thought about this and have decided to make this not only a youth leader position but to combine it with an associate minister position. The job description is on the bulletin board. Please read it and let any of the elders know if you know of anyone who might be interested. Also let them know if you have any suggestions. Making this an associate minister position will not only help our youth but take a little of the preaching burden off of Mark. Please be in prayer about this. Thank you to Russell & Amanda for the great job you have done.
